Granite is a natural stone, it can be found throughout the world. It is formed deep within the earth under great heat and pressure. Rich in various minerals and compositions, giving one a kind patterns and colors. Granite is an incredibly hard material that is scratch resistant. 

By the time your granite countertops make it into your home, they have already had an incredible journey. Imported from quarries all over the world, Granite slabs begin their journey as large multi ton bricks that are sliced into thin sheets that will be polished using modern equipment. During the polishing process, natural fissures, and other “imperfections'' are filled with a resin to add strength and maintain a consistent pattern throughout the slab. This resin and minor imperfections may be noticeable on some slabs. 

Granite is a low maintenance product, but does require resealing about once a year.
